Zweibrücken(RH): The Antares E2 is rigged for adjustment of the flaperon- and airbrake controls. The ultra high modulus carbon fibers used in the wing increases the stiffness of the wing by a factor of 1.9 compared with "normal" HTA carbon fibers. The airliner-grade finish required for the ultra low temperatures that the aircraft will see will be applied to the wing at a later stage.
Six 15 kW motors for the Antares E2 are being prepared for mating with their respective power electronics.
These highly efficient and rugged propulsive units are designed for very high reliability operation and use only surface convective cooling. Anything not installed can not break.
